………Gabby Reveals
Founder of Danquah Institute, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, has revealed that some past Chief Executive Officers and Board Members in the Nana Akufo-Addo administration are engaged in intense lobbying to be re-appointed.
Also, some ministers of state are engaged in lobbying for their friends to be appointed chief executive and board chairmen of agencies under them.
These, DAYBREAK learnt, are even lobbying for their friends to be made board members.
In a Facebook post, he said “there are some CEOs and board members lobbying to be retained. Many of the entities they served have great stories to tell about broken systems that have been fixed. Please, tell your stories better, and let that lead your lobbying!”
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is under serious siege from the old hawks within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as they are jostling to occupy the chairperson positions on the boards of various state institutions.
There is also serious lobbying among the party gurus as some of them are interested in occupying chairs at institutions that are widely seen as ‘juicy’.
Some of the people who occupied board chair positions have resorted to moving to Chiefs, the Clergy and opinion leaders to talk to the President to re-consider them in his second term.
