Barely a week after DAYBREAK reported that eight Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) who were serving with the United Nations Interim Force In Lebanon (UNIFIL) have been repatriated for their refusal to take the COVID-19 vaccine, another is on his way home.

This time, Corporal Goka who is serving with the United Nations Mission in South Sudan has also refused to take the COVID-19 vaccine.

The airman is part of a 700-strong contingent of task force drawn from various units of GAF and UNMISS 8.

According to sources, Corporal Goka left Bentiu Camp last Friday to Juba where he was processed for repatriation.

Strangely, Corporal Goka was made to borne the cost of his ticket to Ghana.

Ghana’s mission in South Sudan has been hit by many scandals including procurement breaches and sex parties. DAYBREAK is reliably informed that the man at the center of the storm has been cleared by a willy-nilly Board Of Inquiry set up by the powers that be.

As of press time yesterday, we confirmed he was on his way to Ghana.
