SEJONG, July 4 (Yonhap) — South Korea’s customs agency said Wednesday that it has signed a US$40 million deal with Ghana to export an electronic customs clearance system to the African country.

Under the deal, South Korea’s electronic customs clearance system, called “UNI-PASS,” will be provided to the country, the Korea Customs Service (KCS) said.

UNI-PASS is the brand name of the electronic customs clearance portal system developed by KCS.

South Korea has exported the UNI-PASS system to a total of 12 countries, including Cameroon, Tanzania and Ethiopia. The total export value is more than $389 million, it said.
