The Director General of GPHA, Paul Asare Ansah has promised to fix the new Takoradi road.
The less than two kilometres road is the only route for heavy duty vehicles, which enter and exit the Takoradi Port to load and offload goods.
Residents in the area had recently demonstrated against the deplorable state in which the road is and called on the Port Authority and government to fix it.
The Director General of GPHA, Paul Asare Ansah admitted the significant role of the New Takoradi road to the port and assured that work will soon begin on the road.
He then followed up with a meeting with all stakeholders in the Port including GHACEM who promised to contribute to the initial temporal repair of the road.
