…At Caucus Meeting

There were near fisticuffs at a National Democratic Congress Caucus Meeting when some aggrieved Members of Parliament of the party pounced on Lawyer Barbara Asamoah.

The offence of Lawyer Barbara who is the Deputy General Secretary of NDC, according to the disgruntled MPs is fielding candidates to contest them in their various Constituencies in its primaries.

Barbara was confronted by these MPs during a Caucus meeting of NDC MP and party leadership in Parliament.

According to reports, Hon Sophia Ackuaku who was very furious with Barbara was shouting at the top of her voice asking Barbara to walk out of the meeting or see the bad side of her.

Hon Sophia who is the MP for Domeabra-Obom Constituency lamented how Barbara is using her Office as Deputy General Secretary of NDC to sell the Constituency to strangers to contest her.

MP for Agona East Hon Pokua Sawyer, who is facing similar challenges in her constituency out of anger left the meeting after noticing Barbara’s presence.

The MP for Yilo Krobo, Hon Albert Tetteh Nyakotey, expressed the same concerns about how Barbara is interfering in his constituency but assured Barbra that she cannot cause any confusion in his constituency because he is on the ground.

It took the intervention of the NDC Minority leadership to restore calm in the meeting after many MPs joined in commenting on how the reorganization process is creating confusion in their various constituencies.
